Natural And Man-Made

Natural And Man-Made

The Blue Lagoon's vibrant blue color comes from the high silica content in the geothermal seawater, which reflects sunlight. While the color is a result of natural geothermal processes, the lagoon itself is man-made, formed from runoff from a geothermal power plant.
