If You Have To Ask If It’s Poisonous...

It’s Best Not To Eat It

It’s Best Not To Eat It

I love taking hikes locally and hunting for mushrooms. It’s exciting to come across something new, document it, then research and identify them later. Sometimes, this leads to choice edibles. Sometimes, you learn that what you have found is best to be admired for its looks.

The Amanita muscaria, commonly known as fly agaric, is a poisonous mushroom. Eating this mushroom can lead to nausea and stomach cramps at first, then eventually liver and kidney damage. If you ever have to ask if it is edible, do not eat it. Always consult an expert. - Timothy Dykes
