Lock Facing East
Lock Facing East
Young sunflower heads track the sun all day, but once mature they “lock” facing east to warm up faster and attract more pollinators. Look closely at the seed head: the spirals pack at about a 137.5° angle, forming Fibonacci patterns for super-efficient space use.
