Toss Off Seaside Cliffs

In Iceland’s Westman Islands, kids run “puffling patrols” each late summer, scooping up fledgling puffins that get lost in town lights. The next morning they gently toss the pufflings off seaside cliffs so the birds catch the wind and learn to fly straight out to sea.
