Every summer, old Mr. Janssens walked the length of Nieuwpoort's dividing path, a silent tribute to the wife who had loved the sea's whispered secrets. Today, his grandson took his first steps on that same sandy trail, tiny palms extended towards the waves, reaching for stories yet to be told.
