Break Communication

To protect your picnic from ants, you should spread a natural ant repellent like vinegar, lemon juice, or mint. These items break the ant’s communication with the colony, and it cannot report the location of food. Another idea is to sprinkle flour around the perimeter of your blanket or table. Ants are repelled by flour.
