Lionfish, with their distinctive brown or maroon, and white stripes and a fan-like array of venomous spines, are known for their striking appearance. They are opportunistic predators, eating a wide variety of small fish, invertebrates, and mollusks, which they swallow whole thanks to their large mouths.
