In 1845, the jeweler Charles Lewis Tiffany, founder of Tiffany & Co., designed an iconic color for his jewelry line by mixing bright green with a hint of blue. This resulted in the beautiful, sophisticated shade of turquoise known as “Tiffany blue.”
